Grow a Plant from a Seed

Grow a Plant from a Seed (Knighting Assignment 30)

Grow a plant from seed. You can start a whole garden, but one plant will be fine. Take a couple of pictures of the plant growing. Write about your experience. Practice feeling the Living Force and focus on how the pant feels throughout the process.

In October of 2022 I bought a hydroponic garden. It has space for 8 pods. The photo below is the beginning of the process. I planted seeds on January 7, 2023

I have never been able to keep plants alive, so we shall see how it goes. The process includes creating a greenhouse environment, which is why there are small plastic bubbles

In the following movie you can see a snapshot of the progress of this project:
Some of the plants have died. The hardest loss was my tomato plant. It began growing very well and was the star of the show for a while. What I noticed was that it was preventing my other plants from growing. I attempted to transplant it, but it had gotten so used to the environment, that it didn't do well in the other space I created for it. I think I may have waited too long to transplant it, because it was bending over pretty good by the time I took it out.

Plants are so plentiful that I can buy more seeds, and people have even gifted me seeds because they are excited about my project. I learned a big lesson having lost my plant. Sometimes our environment is good for a while, but after some time we might end up being a big fish in a little pond. While we are being a big fish in a little pond, we can choke out the opportunities for others to grow. Many of the smaller plants, who didn't have a hope of keeping up with my tomato plant, are thriving now since they have access to the resources (water, nutrients and light) of the planter.
Do I speak to my plants? Of course. They are living beings and I can see their progress as I speak to them. Is that a way of using the Force? Of course it is. All energy is the Force. Plants obviously respond to the energy we put out.
I also noticed something about myself. I seemed to focus my energy on the plant(s) that we're doing well. I find myself doing that with people as well. Obviously with that kind of framework, people fall through the cracks. My project is not done, but I'm glad to be able to share what I have learned so far
